Hiroshima Toyo Carp Clinch Spot in Postseason

The Hiroshima Toyo Carp will be going to the postseason.
While it remains to be seen if they will officially capture the Central League crown, the club will have a spot in the playoffs.

Wild Card Clinched by Lions

The Saitama Seibu Lions are heading to the playoffs.
While they couldn't win the Pacific League, they will nonetheless get the opportunity to play for the franchise's 2nd Round 3.
"Don't overlook us as a wild card team, that's all I'll say," said starting pitcher Ogai Kawaguchi.
That confidence and swagger has been characteristic of the Lions this season, with many feeling they are better than their 74-64 record indicates.

Playoff Bound: Hanshin Secures Wild Card
