Hawks Wins Pacific League Crown Monday, September 23rd, 2019 The excitement in the room was obvious as the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks players and coaches alike celebrated their Pacific League championship. "A lot of our guys have never been in this spot before," said starting pitcher Arinori Ueda. "Our team has never won a Round 3, but that's something we want to change this year." With a record of 83-53, the club has wrapped up the division for the 1st time. It will be a "sweet moment for our city and our fans" if the team can bring home a championship, said team owner Noboru Suzuki. |
