Player of the Week Goes to Chunichi (Ni-Gun) Pitcher Monday, August 12th, 2019 Tomohiro Hamada seems to put youthful exuberance into every pitch he throws and last week he threw up numbers that even the oldest of veterans would look at with envy. That's why the 23-year-old hurler was chosen the Western League Player of the Week Award. Hamada notched 2 wins for the Chunichi (Ni-Gun) Dragons. He finished the week with 6 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.13 while holding the opposition to a .179 average. On his stats sheet for the year Hamada shows a 13-5 record, 17 starts, 112.1 innings, 103 strikeouts and a 2.56 ERA. |
