EL Player of the Week Awarded Monday, August 5th, 2019 Ren Wada went on a hitting spree last week against Eastern League pitchers and today copped the Player of the Week Award. The Yomiuri (Ni-Gun) Giants second baseman peppered the opposition with 12 hits in 21 at-bats, no home runs, 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored. In the last 6 games he hit .571 with an on-base percentage of .625. Looking at his present stats, Wada has compiled a .268 batting average in 94 games with a .327 on-base percentage, while hitting 6 home runs and driving in 44 runs. |
