Tohoku Rakuten (Ni-Gun)'s Hannemann Snaps up July Batting Award Thursday, August 1st, 2019 Jacob Hannemann put together a good July to earn the Eastern League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Tohoku Rakuten (Ni-Gun) officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Golden Eagles center fielder posted a .397 batting average with 9 home runs, 27 RBIs and 21 runs scored. For the season Hannemann is currently batting .349 with 9 home runs and 27 RBIs. In 20 games he has reached base at a .407 rate and scored 23 runs to date. |
