Red-Hot June Lands Escobar Batting Prize in EL Monday, July 1st, 2019 Elys Escobar may be much younger than other hitters in the Eastern League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in June to win the Batter of the Month award. The 22-year-old Seibu (Ni-Gun) catcher hit .309 with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and 17 runs scored. In the current season, Escobar has put up a .285 batting average with 74 hits, 10 home runs, 49 RBI and scored 38 runs. |
