Mitsumata Red-Hot, WL Player of the Week Monday, May 20th, 2019 Chunichi (Ni-Gun) Dragons second baseman Taiki Mitsumata had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Western League named him Player of the Week. Mitsumata banged out 11 hits in 28 at-bats on the way to a .393 batting average. He also racked up 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 8 runs scored. For the year Mitsumata is batting .305 with 50 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 28 times and driven in 20. |
