Monday, September 23rd, 2019
Once you hit 35, it's hard to say how much time you've got left in baseball. Shinnosuke Abe has been fortunate as his numbers for the past week bear out. The 37-year-old first baseman, a favorite in the Yomiuri Giants clubhouse, hit .429 last week as he put up Player of the Week numbers.
Abe also put together 6 hits in 14 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBIs for the week.
Abe's current batting average stands at .298 and he has chalked up 29 home runs and 81 RBIs.
