9-Game Suspensions for Wheeler-Osera Fight Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 Zelous Wheeler of the Yomiuri Giants and Daichi Osera of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp got into a wrestling match yesterday at Tokyo Dome and now must pay the consequences for violating league rules. They have both been assessed 9-game suspensions by the league for inciting the heated altercation between the two clubs. So far this year Wheeler has hit .289 with 15 home runs, 49 RBIs and 54 runs scored. Looking at his season stats, Osera has won 12 and lost 9, collecting 166 strikeouts and 46 walks in 185.2 innings with a 4.46 ERA. |
