Kikuchi Wins JCL Player of the Week Honors

At the age of 26, Ryosuke Kikuchi might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Hiroshima Toyo second baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .476 batting average. For his efforts Kikuchi collected the Central League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 10 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 RBIs last week in 5 games.
Kikuchi is hitting at a .269 mark this season. His stats show 13 home runs, 54 RBIs and 86 runs scored. He has played 131 games for the Carp.
