Big Month Brings in JPL Top Rookie Trophy Sunday, September 1st, 2019 Masahiro Nishino gets his bat on the ball fast. The 26-year-old rookie snapped out 30 hits and a .330 average to capture August's Pacific League Rookie of the Month honors. Last month the Orix second baseman piled up 3 home runs, 20 RBIs, scored 19 times and had 8 walks for a .376 on-base percentage. So far this year Nishino is batting .287 with 10 home runs. |
