Clemens Grabs JCL Best Batter Award for August Sunday, September 1st, 2019 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 23, Kody Clemens has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Tokyo Yakult Swallows star can enjoy the numbers he put upin August, which have garnered him the nod as the Central League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .336 average with 10 home runs, 35 RBIs and 17 runs scored. Presently Clemens is hitting .306 with 14 home runs and 49 RBIs. He has played in 80 games and scored 29 times. |
