Tokyo Yakult's Matsui JCL Star of the Week Monday, August 26th, 2019 At the age of 28, Jun Matsui might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Tokyo Yakult left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .478 batting average. For his efforts Matsui collected the Central League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBIs last week in 7 games. To date this season Matsui is hitting .310 with 11 home runs. |
