League Suspends Soto and Molina for Brawl Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 You would have thought you were at a hockey game yesterday at Peppers Ballpark. A free-for-all broke out when Isael Soto of Athens and Anthony Molina of Berdyansk rushed one another on the field and had to be restrained by umpires and teammates. Few blows landed, but it was enough for them to be ejected from the game. Today both teams received notification from the league office that the two players would be suspended for 4 games. Soto is currently hitting at a .387 pace with 5 home runs, 21 RBIs and has scored 19 times. In 5 starts this season Molina has fashioned a 2-1 record and a 2.77 ERA. |
