JPL Rookie Vote Goes to Galvis Saturday, October 1st, 2016 Freddy Galvis gets his bat on the ball fast. The 26-year-old rookie snapped out 25 hits and a .287 average to capture September's Pacific League Rookie of the Month honors. Last month the Tohoku Rakuten shortstop piled up 1 home run, 10 RBIs, scored 12 times and had 5 walks for a .326 on-base percentage. Galvis is currently batting .323 with 4 home runs, 39 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 102 hits in 316 at-bats. |
