Miniard Pitches Gem against Buffalo

"Micah Miniard is really a good pitcher when he throws strikes early in the count," said his manager after the Bender Is Great hurler tossed a complete game 2-hit shutout against the Buffalo Buffaloes.
"I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Miniard. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings."
Miniard walked 2 and struck out 5 in the 6-0 victory.
His record this season is 11-8 in 29 starts and Miniard has a 4.12 ERA.
