Adolfo Socks it to Devil Bears, Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, May 16th, 2021 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Micker Adolfo, it came around today. The 24-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Silver Sox Ballpark to pace the Scott City Silver Sox to a 16-0 victory over the Irving Devil Bears. Irving skipper told reporters in the press room that "Adolfo deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Adolfo hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Micker Adolfo singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. In 13 games Adolfo is hitting .327 this season with 16 hits, 1 home run, 9 RBIs, 3 walks, .364 OBP and has scored 7 runs. |
