Jones Hits for the Cycle Saturday, June 26th, 2021 Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Ballpark of Islip Terrace. Jahmai Jones of the Brunswick Station Red Falcons accomplished the feat against Lake Magdalene Stags. Jones went 4-for-7 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 18-5 Brunswick Station victory. "That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Jones said after the game. Jones also scored 1 run and had 6 RBI in a day to remember for both Jones and the crowd at Ballpark of Islip Terrace. Jahmai Jones singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Christian Pelaez in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. This year Jones is batting .257 with 4 home runs. He has scored 12 runs and driven in 14. |
