Alleghenys Whitewashed by Rodriguez Tuesday, July 1st, 2025 Eduardo Rodriguez led the Philadelphia Black Cats to a 10-0 shutout victory over the Pittsburgh Alleghenys at PNC Park today. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Rodriguez recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Rodriguez yielded 2 hits and had 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Pittsburgh manager Patrick Healy said.
