Fighting Penguins A.J. Cole Will Miss Season Monday, October 27th, 2025 The Neptune Fighting Penguins were dealt a severe blow when A.J. Cole was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Philadelphia Black Cats. After the game, the team trainer reported Cole might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 31-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a stretched elbow ligament. They indicated it would take Cole at least 11 months to heal. On his stats sheet this season Cole shows a 9-14 record, 31 starts, 185 innings, 148 strikeouts and a 4.86 ERA. |
