Lee Cracks 3 HRs for Batavia Friday, September 19th, 2025 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Spellborough Wizards today. Batavia catcher Al Lee tripled up on the home runs to propel the Muckdogs to the 15-7 win at Mage Tower Field. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Spellborough manager said. "Lee hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Lee collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Al Lee hit a two-run home run off Marcus Stroman in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Marcus Stroman in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Joe Bullock in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. This year Lee is hitting .255 with 27 home runs. |
