Philadelphia Hopeless Against Skaggs Friday, August 22nd, 2025 Tyler Skaggs was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Canadien Donkey Riders hurler tossed a 2-hit, complete game shutout against the Philadelphia Black Cats. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Skaggs. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Skaggs walked 0 and struck out 4 in the 5-0 victory. So far this year Skaggs has 9 wins and 7 losses and a 3.02 ERA.
