Profar Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Sunday, July 12th, 2015
The Kings won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on second baseman Jurickson Profar extending his hitting streak to 20 games by going 1-for-4 in the game.
"Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing Jurickson extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Comeback manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate."
For the record, the Kings defeated the Pawtucket Redsox 4-2 at McCoy Stadium. Jurickson Profar struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Presently Profar is batting .296 and has collected 7 home runs, 34 RBIs, .369 OBP and scored 46 runs.
