Longoria Tags Number 300

At Chase Field Evan Longoria smashed his 300th career home run in a game against Lynchburg today. The 33-year-old third baseman had a hand in the Charlotte Royals 11-7 victory with 1 home run and 4 RBI. For the day he went 2 hits-5 at-bats.
At the press conference after the game, Longoria downplayed his achievement.
"To reach 300 home runs is amazing and something I'll always cherish. I've been fortunate to remain healthy and play at a high level through most of my career."
During his career Longoria has hit for a .265 average and totaled 1717 hits, 300 home runs and 1048 RBIs.
