Number 3000 for Cabrera Friday, August 23rd, 2019 The day belonged to Miguel Cabrera of the Deathland Weresloths as he became the latest player to reach the 3000-hit plateau. He did it in Deathland's 12-1 win over Lynchburg. "It's a moment I'll never forget," said Cabrera after the game, "3000 hits is a lot. It puts you in a very select group. I never expected to be around long enough to reach a milestone like this." He finished the day with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. During his career Cabrera has played in 2555 games, batted .308 with 538 home runs and 3004 base hits. |
