Villanueva Rips 3 HR Monday, September 12th, 2016 Every now and then, the right things happen at the right time. Christian Villanueva discovered that when he smashed three homers at Giants Baseball Stadium during today's 20-7 win over the Yomiuri (Ni-Gun) Giants. The Tohoku Rakuten (Ni-Gun) third baseman said in the postgame interview, "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them. The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Villanueva finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 6 RBIs.
