Barrage of Hits Gets Fields WL Award Monday, June 13th, 2016 Daniel Fields is respected by most Hiroshima Toyo (Ni-Gun) Carp fans for his no-frills style of play. The 25-year-old center fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Western League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .526 average (10-for-19) with no home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. In 7 games this season Fields is batting .571 with 12 hits and no home runs. He has scored 7 runs and driven in 10. |
