The New Vegas Boomers and Pittsburgh Alleghenys played an exciting game at Moles Stadium.
New Vegas turned a good effort from starter Raisel Iglesias into a win over the Pittsburgh Alleghenys at Moles Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Iglesias picked up the win for New Vegas, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 9-6. Zack Burdi converted his 6th save in 8 tries.
Jace Peterson, who leads the EL in triples with 10, aided the New Vegas cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 1-3 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Peterson told the New Vegas Gazette.
The Boomers bumped their record to 63-62 with this latest triumph.
