Weresloths Subdue Philadelphia, 5-4
|
Spirited fans at Black Cats Ballpark greeted the Philadelphia Black Cats for their clash with the Deathland Weresloths.
Deathland shortstop J.P. Crawford was instrumental in his team's 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Black Cats. Crawford, who is a six-time All-Star, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Weresloths. Sonny Gray got the win, improving to 11-6. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1.
Crawford put Deathland up, 5-0, when he hit a solo home run off Trevor Williams in the top of the seventh. His 10th home run of the season helped the Weresloths capture the win.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Deathland manager Mark Caterinacci.
The Weresloths bumped their record to 78-47 with this latest triumph.
