Bellinger Helps Lynchburg Cruise to 10-2 Win
The Lynchburg Hornets relied on the hitting of first baseman Justin Bellinger to stop the Columbus Legion, 10-2. For the game, Bellinger hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Matt Krook got the win, improving to 9-6. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 3. The Hornets bumped their record to 65-61 with this latest triumph.

Ruddy Giron drew 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for Lynchburg. The 25-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Hogan Harris. It was his 45th RBI of the season.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Bellinger told the Lynchburg Daily News.
