Bull Artists Lose, 4-2, at McCoy Stadium
|
Fans who gathered at McCoy Stadium saw a good contest between the Pawtucket Red Sox and Durham Bull Artists.
The Pawtucket Red Sox picked up a win at McCoy Stadium, knocking off the Durham Bull Artists, 4-2. Starting pitcher Juan Hillman was an essential part of his team's success. Ken Giles converted his 26th save in 30 tries.
Giancarlo Stanton, who is on pace to hit 44 home runs this season, aided the Pawtucket cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Hillman said.
The second-place Red Sox raised their record to 65-57.
