Royals Topple Muckdogs with Late Rally
|
Charlotte starter Masahiro Tanaka had a strong outing against the Batavia Muckdogs at Wrigley Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-4 win. Al Alburquerque converted his 7th save in 8 tries. Charlotte is now 67-55, 2 games up in the Ellering League Hawk Division.
Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Jacob Hannemann, hit a single. It helped Charlotte seize the win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Tanaka said.
