Black Cats Turn Back Atlantic City, 4-2
|
Philadelphia turned a good effort from starter Ryley Gilliam into a win over the Atlantic City Illuminati at Black Cats Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. At 43-76, the Black Cats find themselves in last place in the Ellering League Heidenreich Division.
The Black Cats got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ed Wilson. For the game, Wilson was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 3-2 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Philadelphia manager .
