Though the conditions were not ideal, the New Vegas Boomers and Lynchburg Hornets came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The New Vegas Boomers picked up a win at Moles Stadium, knocking off the Lynchburg Hornets, 5-1. Starting pitcher Ryan Olson played a key role in the triumph. Olson got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Olson allowed 1 earned run. Josh Edgin was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 6 save opportunities.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when left fielder Jeff Lynch, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Boomers organization, hit a single. The Boomers went on to win.

In postgame comments to the New Vegas Gazette, Olson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
