Muckdogs Turn Back Berkeley, 4-3
|
Batavia starter Clayton Kershaw had a strong outing against the Berkeley Batterologists at Wrigley Field. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Cody Allen converted his 19th save in 22 tries. With the win, the Muckdogs have a record of 50-64.
Lucius Fox, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Muckdogs organization, aided the Batavia cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher went 1-3.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Fox said.
