Batterologists Win at Batavia, 4-1
|
Berkeley and Batavia duked it out at Wrigley Field and the Batterologists came out victorious.
The Batavia Muckdogs went down to defeat to Easton McGee and his Berkeley teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Batterologists. Jose Valdez earned his 9th save in 15 chances.
Jake Lamb went 1 for 3 for Berkeley. The 31-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Cody Poteet. It was his 48th RBI of the season.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Berkeley manager Randy Morgenstein. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Muckdogs, now 49-64, have lost 5 in a row.
