Wizards Lose to Alleghenys, 7-5
|
The Pittsburgh Alleghenys stopped the Spellborough Wizards, 7-5, at Mage Tower Field. The Alleghenys got a big game from Kyle Schwarber, who went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. C.J. Edwards converted his 27th save in 36 tries. Pittsburgh has now won 5 straight, while the Wizards have lost 3 in a row.
Schwarber had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Alleghenys went on to win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Schwarber told the Pittsburgh Herald.
