Deathland pitcher Damien Magnifico did his part in helping his team beat the Pawtucket Red Sox, 7-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Magnifico, now 10-3. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. The Weresloths, at 66-40, have a comfortable 14-game lead in their division.
It could have been a different outcome for Deathland, had it not been for J.P. Crawford, the six-time All-Star . Crawford contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Deathland up, 1-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Magnifico told the Deathland Daily. "It's as simple as that."
