Lynchburg right-hander Aaron Blair made an effective start against the Charlotte Royals at Chase Field, leading his team to a 7-2 win. The Hornets bumped their record to 57-51 with this latest triumph.

In the top of the eighth inning, designated hitter Eric Morton came through big-time for the Hornets. With Lynchburg leading 3-0, he belted a grand slam home run.

"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Morton told the Lynchburg Daily News.
