The Deathland Weresloths got a superb performance from pitcher Damien Magnifico, but the Atlantic City Illuminati still won the game, 2-1. Magnifico was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Turner Larkins, credited with the win, is now 7-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Craig Kimbrel notched his 30th save in 36 chances.
Juan Rodríguez's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Jordan Walden for a solo home run. It put Atlantic City in front, 2-1.
Rodríguez called the win "a collective effort."
The Illuminati bumped their record to 82-75 with this latest triumph.
