Moon Men Lose to Bull Artists, 6-3
|
Durham and Space City took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Durham Bull Artists defeated the Space City Moon Men, 6-3, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Durham center fielder Raimel Tapia was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The winner was Julio Teheran, who threw 102 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits.
Jesse Winker, who is a seven-time All-Star, chipped in for Durham with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Feels good to get the job done," Tapia said after the game.
The second-place Moon Men have lost 4 straight games.
