Weresloths Topple Batterologists with Late Rally
|
The Deathland Weresloths got a magnificent performance from pitcher Matt Wisler, who muffled the Berkeley offense en route to a tight 3-1 Weresloths win at Dodger Stadium. Wisler picked up the win for Deathland, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 11-6. The first-place Weresloths, at 90-64, now lead their division by 8 games.
The Weresloths got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Felix Munoz. For the game, Munoz was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the eighth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 26th home run of the season gave Deathland a 2-0 lead.
Afterward, Weresloths manager Mark Caterinacci was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
