Donkey Riders Win at Spellborough, 7-2
|
The Canadien Donkey Riders topped the Spellborough Wizards, 7-2, with designated hitter Brett Phillips playing a big role. Phillips was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Donkey Riders in the win. Ricardo Sanchez picked up the win, improving his season record to 13-13. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. Wade Davis got the save, his 3rd in 7 chances.
Phillips had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Donkey Riders went on to win.
