Batterologists Raise Rally Flag, Beat Canadien, 6-4
|
The Canadien Donkey Riders got a superb performance from first baseman Carlos Santana, but the Berkeley Batterologists still won the game, 6-4. Santana was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jose Valdez, credited with the save, is now 8 for 13 in save opportunities. The Batterologists raised their record to 46-59.
Bradley Zimmer chipped in for Berkeley with a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
