Reyes Spins Shutout Against Spellborough
|
Alex Reyes dominated the Spellborough Wizards with a brilliant 1-hit shutout in a Durham Bull Artists 7-0 triumph at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Durham hurler fanned 11 and walked 1 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.
"He really kept us in check today," Wizards skipper Lester Norton said in his postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."
This year Reyes has posted a record of 12 wins and 10 losses with a 3.63 ERA. He has appeared in 28 games and struck out 188 in 181 innings.
