Muckdogs Lose to Donkey Riders, 4-1
|
Canadien starter Alex Wood put a stranglehold on the Batavia offense. The left-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Donkey Riders to a 4-1 win. Canadien, at 72-79, sits in third place in the Ellering League Animal Division.
Seth Beer, who was drafted in the two round of the 2017 draft, aided the Canadien cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Batavia manager Mike Moran.
