New Vegas played host to Pawtucket at the friendly confines of Moles Stadium.
Jose Osuna helped his team muscle past the Pawtucket Red Sox, 10-3. In the game, the New Vegas first baseman went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The third-place Boomers now have a win-loss record of 51-53.
The Boomers got a big at-bat from catcher Kevin Plawecki. For the game, Plawecki was 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave New Vegas a 5-3 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Osuna told reporters after the game.
