The Columbus Legion eked out a 4-3 win versus the Spellborough Wizards at Mage Tower Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Pierce Johnson, who captured player of the game honors. Jharel Cotton got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances. Columbus occupies last place in the Ellering League Droz Division at 42-56.

The Legion got a big at-bat from right fielder Darryl Wilson. For the game, Wilson was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Columbus a 1-0 lead.

"We take it day by day here," said Wilson, "and today was a good one for us."
