Illuminati Bang Out 7-0 Win Versus Neptune
|
The Atlantic City Illuminati got a stellar effort from pitcher Kyle Serrano, helping Atlantic City score a 7-0 win over the visiting Neptune Fighting Penguins. The winning pitcher was Serrano, now 9-3. He tossed 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 2. Trevor Rosenthal was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 3 save opportunities.
Marcell Ozuna, who is a two-time All-Star, aided the Atlantic City cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Ozuna.
Atlantic City occupies last place in the Ellering League Animal Division at 33-61.
