Not everyone stuck through the 47-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Pawtucket beat Space City on the strength of starter Grayson Garvin's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 9-2 win. Pawtucket is now 54-34, 5½ games up in the Ellering League Hawk Division.
Xavier Edwards, who is tied for 9th in the EL with a .311 batting average, aided the Pawtucket cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We maximized our offense today," said Pawtucket skipper David Larence. "That makes everyone's life easier."
